Formula student

Formula Student is an international competition for technical university students. Its goal is to provide the students with real world knowledge not only from their field of study. Each team builds a new car every season and competes with it against more than 600 teams from all over the world. Since 2010, the competition can be entered with both electric and combustion engine powered cars. Using rapidly advancing technologies, electric cars can keep up with – and often outpace – the best combustion vehicles.

Acceleration

An acceleration race over 75-meter distance with a standing start.

 

Skid pad

Cornering on a track shaped like an eight to test the lateral acceleration of the car.

 

Autocross

Qualifying for the Endurance, the fastest lap time wins.

 

Endurance & efficiency

An endurance race over 22 km distance, including one driver change. Efficiency scoring rates the consumed amount of energy in relation to the total time.

 

Trackdrive

A unique discipline for driverless category. The task of the car is to pass 10 laps
on a previously unknown track as quickly as possible.
